On 23 November we spent the entire day at the Mamalicious Market in the beautiful Küsnacht and what a day it was. I’m still filled with gratitude and energy after meeting so many of you in person, sharing conversations, and seeing how much love you have for our products. Even though we couldn’t offer the same big discounts as in Halle 1, the response was overwhelming: you came, you browsed, you shopped, and you supported us with so much warmth.
How the day felt from behind the stand
For me personally, this market was more than just a sales event. It felt like a celebration of everything we’ve been building with Dear Gaia over the past years. We prepared for days: tagging products, planning the table layout, packing stock, reorganizing, repacking, adjusting… and then suddenly the doors opened, and we barely had a moment to breathe.
I’m so grateful I had the help of my friend at the stand. There were moments when we were both serving customers at the same time, explaining merino properties, recommending sizes, wrapping, and answering questions - all while the next people were already waiting. It was wonderfully chaotic.
One of the highlights was meeting some of our Instagram followers in real life. Many of you came over because you recognized the brand, and it was so special to finally connect faces with names. Thank you for taking the time to say hello, share your stories, and shop with us.
What you loved most: market bestsellers
So many products found new homes that day, but a few stood out as clear favourites. Here’s a closer look at what made each one special.
Fleece merino overalls and jackets for babies and kids
One of the most-loved categories were our 100% merino wool overalls and jackets.
The merino wool baby overall is crafted entirely from 100% merino wool, offering natural thermoregulation, a cosy feel, and beautiful neutral tones that make dressing little ones simple and elegant. Parents loved how warm it is outdoors while still being breathable enough for indoor wear.
Our kids’ merino wool jackets gained a lot of attention for their combination of warmth, durability, and timeless design. They work perfectly as everyday outerwear, whether for walks, playground time, or kinder commute.
The Happymess merino wool vests, available for both adults and kids, were also among the fast movers. Soft, breathable, and ideal for layering, these vests add warmth without bulk. Many colours are already almost sold out, reinforcing just how popular they were during the market.
100% cashmere balaclavas for kids
The pure cashmere balaclavas were an instant favourite. Made from 100% upcycled cashmere, they provide full face and neck coverage while remaining incredibly soft, lightweight, and gentle against the skin.
Parents loved them for their practicality: warm enough for cold, windy days, yet breathable for active kids. Many customers mentioned they were ideal under helmets or hoods, making them a winter essential.
Cashmere hoods and headbands for adults and kids
Beyond balaclavas, our cashmere headbands and hoods were bestseller accessories for both kids and adults. They offer a beautiful blend of warmth, elegance, and comfort. Cashmere gives them a premium feel, but their minimalistic design keeps them wearable every day from school runs to winter walks to Christmas markets.
Customers loved them as holiday gifts and season-to-season wardrobe staples.
Happymess merino wool vests for adults and kids
These were one of the top-selling products of the entire market. The Happymess merino wool vest nearly sold out entirely, and yes, a restock is coming.
